Romanescu cabbage is notable for its vitamin C (a 100 gram serving covers the full recommended daily allowance, even after brief cooking) and for its vitamin K, known as an anti-haemorrhagic because of its key role in blood clotting. Contrary to popular belief, it is not a hybrid between cauliflower and broccoli, but a green variety of Italian cauliflower, the romanescu cabbage grown in the Huerta de Pancha in the traditional way, has a special flavour that you should try 😉
