Pear-shaped avocado with rough skin and black colour when ripe. It is harvested from the trees of the Huerta de Pancha.
It is a late variety of avocado grown on our own farm. It is collected and shipped directly to your home or business, so it is not exposed to long journeys. Buying Lamb Hass avocado online from La Huerta de Pancha is an optimal and safe option.
Characteristics of Lamb Hass Avocado
The rough-skinned, oval-shaped Lamb Hass avocado variety, weighing 200-300 g, has a dark green colour that turns black when ripe. Its skin is thicker than that of other varieties, which makes it more resistant, and once ripe, its skin separates very easily from the pulp. Although similar in appearance to the Hass avocado, its flavour is slightly less intense, more similar to that of the strong avocado.
The quality and exquisiteness of our avocados put them on a par with the best avocados in the world.
You can eat it in salads, guacamole, on your toast as if it were butter, also accompanied by a slice of tomato from the Huerta de Pancha, and you can even enjoy it as a dessert in a delicious baticate.

How the Lamb Hass avocado is preserved
This avocado is harvested green from the beginning of spring, when the temperature is higher, so it ripens after one or two weeks.
If you keep them out of the fridge and away from direct light, they will be ready to eat within 7 days.
You can always accelerate their ripening, 2 to 3 days, by leaving them in our box together with some fruit or by wrapping them in newspaper. You can also delay their ripening by putting them in the fridge.
If you have opened the avocado and want to eat it later, keep it refrigerated, leaving the stone in and adding a little lime or lemon to prevent it from oxidising.
Don’t throw away overripe avocados, you can use them to make a moisturising hair mask.
You will know that the Lamb Hass avocado is ripe when it is:
The skin has turned dark and slightly separated from the flesh. This is particularly noticeable in the part around the stalk of the fruit, where the flesh shrinks and the skin forms folds.
When the stalk is removed from the upper part of the fruit, a yellow colour is observed. If it is brown or black, the avocado is probably overripe. However, some parts can still be used.
